This is the JY-73 Starbomber, a starship created by a Star Wars Fanon wiki user named Aiddat. One day he asked for someone to help him out - someone who could make him a 3D model. I volunteered and began work on this model in August 2008, at the beginning of this Fall semester, but I got caught up with other work and eventually sort of forgot about it, due to my restrictions to working on actual, assigned projects.

So today (December 4 2008) I got dug out the file and began working hard on it, four about four hours. At this time, the model was practically done, but the skin, textures, effects all needed to be created and applied properly. I created all the skins, bump maps, and environments necessary, and this is the final product. I also added a lense flare for a 'going against the sun' effect. Entirely created on Strata 3D CX except for the skins and textures, created entirely on Adobe Photoshop CS3.

As indicated by the first sentence, this was created for fan fiction for the user Aiddat in his own Star Wars universe. Enjoy! I will eventually touch this render up in photoshop, although I will be unable to get new screenshots for a long time since the semester is now essentially over. Updates might come in the future if Aiddat wants modifications to the model, since, after all, he created the schematics, concept, and gave me direction for the model.

Update: I uploaded a touched up version of the image, removing an artifact created by the model and lighting up the image, since it was very dark for some reason on my home monitor (couldn't see the detail like at the school monitors). Generally the same, lightened up.
